About Developed in 1978, Forte has proven the test of time and is recognized as a global leader in helping individuals, teams and organizaions understand and maximize their strengths. Designed to also enhance interpersonal relationships, Forte identifies and maximizes the "real world" understanding of individual and team communication styles and minimizes the chances for misunderstandings and conflicts. The Forte system is Internet based, as an Application Service Provider (ASP). Optional Certification and training is available. How does Forte work? The early research into lexical theory (of or relating to words or the vocabulary of a language as distinguished from its grammar and construction) was done by Galton, (1894) and suggested that communication style strengths are captured in the words that people use to describe one another. This concept has passed on to other behavioral scientists over time, including C. D. Morgan III, the Author/Developer of the Forte Communication Style Profile (1978) and Founder of The Forte Institute. The key to the Forte system is its simple-to-complete survey questionnaire. The Forte Primary Profile brings together the respondent's lifetime communication style strengths and provides an extremely accurate understanding of one's personal and interpersonal preferences, including how the respondent is SELF-MOTIVATED. The Forte Adapting Profile identifies how the respondent has been adapting to an unlimited number of others/environments for the past 30 days and further captures the respondent's current decision-making style, current stamina and current goals index. The Forte Perceiver Profile, generated from the Primary Survey, shares with the respondent how they are "most likely" coming across to others. Also included is a Communication Style Strategy to use for the next 30-days. The Forte Adapting Update process (Adapting Survey) updates and generates text/graphing of how the respondent is adapting to others/environments as often as every 30 days. This tool is regarded as a key element in personal development, career development, teaming, coaching...especially Executive Coaching...and maximizing relationships in either one's professional or personal lives. |
